Its an outrage that the man convicted of the Lockerbie bombing has been released on compassionate grounds and has been accorded a jubiliant welcome in Libya. While calls for boycotting anything Scotch are just one kind of protest, a bigger question still remains: Where do we draw the line at showing compassion to people convicted of mass murder? What about the feelings of the victims' families?
If this isn't mockery of the highest order, I don't know what is. I welcome the pressure on the Scottish government to explain its actions. I would like to see how these wise guys decided to make such a stupid decision just like that. Were there advisors involved? Who or what prompted them to make this ridiculous move?
