Back from the dark ages to post a bit..

These are exciting times-India just landed on Mars-this may be the start of a whole new era in scientific research in India. Who knows what may lie ahead? Would students be motivated to take up STEM subjects as science is 'cool' all over again? Will teachers make use of this opportunity to teach students about the solar system? We now have tweets from our own satellite,  to tell us about Mars-this was unthinkable when we were students..so this may well be the start of a new era for teaching and learning in general, and science in particular in India.
