There were drums accompanying Ganesh visarjan today. The drummers all accompanying each other. One of them in charge of changing the rhythm and others slowly following suit with their respective drums following the pattern set by the lead drummer. This understanding among the dhol players known only among them. The bystander doesn't know the patterns changing or at best notices a change in rhythm after it happens. The tacit understanding belongs only among the dhol players. If we observe carefully this understanding is revealed to us too, little by little, the shared universe among the dhol players becomes clear to us, the bystanders. But we have to focus only on this interaction among the drummers and tune everything else out.
In such moments of focus the grandeur of the Universe in which we live also becomes clear in a flash. The rhythm becomes a part of our consciousness as well, for a few moments we become part of the understanding the dhol players share among themselves, a part of their universe, and a part of the Universe of all of Humanity.
