- You can sleep everywhere..standing, sitting, watching TV..I mean everywhere!
- You learn to draw boundaries with people where none existed.
- As a follow-up to the above, you learn to put your foot down and say whats on your mind. You are not afraid to say 'No'.
- You are sleepless but stronger all the same.
- Like Seinfeld says: 'Dads are never afraid-they do exactly what they want. They figure: hell, I don't need anyone, I can make my own person!' I think that applies to Moms too!
- Health does become your focus-your (physical and psychological) health determines how good your baby is feeling.
- You develop excellent communication skills of the non-verbal variety..your baby's expressions tell you more than words ever can.
- You laugh at weddings and secretly tell yourself, 'These folks don't know whats in store for them!'
- Your definition of having fun is hanging out with the baby:24/7/365.
- In contrast to point no. 4, you melt when you have to take the baby to the doc. You want to hurt the pediatrician when he/she gives your child that much needed vaccine shot!
- You watch television on mute. That leaves you with channels kind enough to broadcast with subtitles.

Baby etc
The following is my update to the list of things that change when you have a baby (some of these things may be common to the original list on babycenter.com, but still):
Of coincidences and things like that
Was about to send this slightly unpleasant email to someone close and got a phone call from an old friend that distracted me. Coming back to the email, I learnt how futile sending that email would have been..it would have helped express my frustration at certain things, but beyond that, it would have had little effect. I, thus, chose instead to focus on other more constructive ways of getting out of this problem, and keeping distracted by other pending things that need my attention.
Sometimes God (or someone out there!) sends us these signals through other people or other agents which changes the course of things we do. Its up to us to recognize these signals and act on them. And yes, ofcourse always, always listening to the little voice inside you helps a lot! :)
