Year end musings

2020. What did I learn this year? This has been a year like no other What have I learnt? Is that we don't always have the answers. We do it anyway. We survive. We dust off and move on. Is life fair? No it isn't. So what? We have the capacity within us to always adapt, do things differently and learn. It may not always work. We might find that we are slipping back instead of moving on but that's the nature of the process. Sink or swim? It's up to us. It's a choice. So I choose to swim. I choose to regulate my own actions, thoughts and emotions better. I will try my best to align all three as much as possible. I will focus on a few key goals and work on them. Goals Always be happy Be independent so we don't burden others with our needs And yet, ask for what we think is right clearly, firmly. There's a fine line between entitlement and one's right. Recognise it, own it. Demand it, grow into it. The universe has a space for all of us. We ought to expand into it not shrink into ourselves. Expanding should not mean physically expanding 😀 so exercise better. Eat better. Think and feel better. Read more, talk better if not less. Aspire to be like the wise old owl eventually. Finish books, projects more on time. See if we can also enjoy the process better. That's all there is to it. Grateful for everyone always standing by for me. Hope springs eternal.
