On responsibility

The thing about responsibility 

Is that it's to be done no matter what 

It's dull, boring, mind numbing

Yet important to do

Whether its work 

Or it's life

There's no easy way out

No passing of the buck

No convenient escape

The only way out is through. 

That's the thing with responsibility.

Whether we like it or not

Whether someone cares about it or not. 

It's important. It needs doing.

It makes the world spin ever so slowly 

One email at a time. One sorted shelf at a time.
